Welcome to this month’s “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all across the U.S. and Canada. Most of us haven’t met in person, but love Stampin’ Up and want to share with you! Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!  Each month we’ll have a different theme; this month it’s: Lovely As A Tree!!

A few months back you may remember my favorite stamp set that I selected for our hop was also Lovely As A Tree… So, this month I have just a few quick and simple ideas to share with you using the three main tree stamps from the set.

Here’s a Fall Themed card, great for anytime of the year really. Even though it’s not Halloween anymore, it doesn’t mean you can’t use the ‘Halloween” supplies! Here I have the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Halloween Night Enamel Dots. But it doesn’t look like a Halloween card, right?
I used the Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, and Chocolate Chip markers on the tree, and also to color the different parts of the phrase – which is from the Suite Seasons stamp set.

Next we have a Christmas card, in Soft Sky and Smokey Slate. I love the subtle look those colors give. I sponged some Soft Sky ink onto the sky using the new sponge brayers. The sentiment is from Greetings From Santa. I wrapped some Silver Metallic Thread around the card, and added some rhinestones and Wink of Stella on the trees.

I don’t want you to miss out on the shimmery effects coming from Wink of Stella, so here’s another look at the trees up close:

The last card for today is another Christmas card, but in more traditional colors, using Real Red and Garden Green. Although, as you can see, it can be used for any other occasion around that time period as well, as there is no specific sentiment on the front. How about a thank you card from some gifts? Completely possible.
For this, I inked up the tree in Garden Green, then used the Chocolate Chip marker to color the stem on the stamp, then stamped on the paper. The tree is sitting in the Layering Oval Framelits, and has the scalloped edge in the Red Glimmer Paper. The background is the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. I tied some bows using the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine. Oh, and the red rhinestones? They can be created with a red sharpie. 🙂
