Blogging Friends Icon

Welcome to this month’s “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all across the U.S. and Canada. Most of us haven’t met in person, but love Stampin’ Up and want to share with you! Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!  Each month we’ll have a different theme; this month it is Sale-A-Bration!

It’s been a busy month and I haven’t had as much time to play with the SAB items as I had hoped, but today I have a set of cards here for you that was so quick to make! I used the SAB set, So Very Much. It’s the kind of set where the sentiment can be the entire card – super easy to do!

I decided to pair it up with some of the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper from the Occasions catalog. I picked three of the colors in the DSP, and used those as the background for the cards.  Here they are all together:

I used the Gold embossing powder with Versamark directly on the DSP, and layered it on Very Vanilla. Off to the side is one of the Lace Doilies with some Gold Metallic Thread. Some of the gold sequins have been added for a little bling to finish them off.

Here are the three versions individually…
Sahara Sand:

Blushing Bride:

Soft Sky:

I hope you like them, and remember – for each and every $50 in merchandise spent – you can earn this set (or other items) for FREE. 🙂
What’s even better, if you join my team you can pick 2 additional FREE stamp sets with your starter kit, ANY stamp sets from the catalogs, as your SAB treat!  Contact me for details, or check it out on my website here!

Now…. Please take the time to hop on through the rest of the Blog Hop today, you will be heading over to Tammy, and I hope you have fun looking through all their projects, too!

New Occasions 2017 Catalog Sneak Peek

Hi folks! I have something cool to show you! The NEW Occasions Catalog is getting ready to launch on January 4th – and I was able to participate in card challenge coordinated by my upline using some of the new products!

I can’t show you the catalog *just* yet… soon, though!  What I can show you is projects I’ve made with the wonderful products in it!  So, today I will show you the card I made for the challenge:

It’s definitely got a bit of everything going on. 🙂  The cool polka dots and other designs inside are from the new Party Animal Designer Series Paper, which is part of the Party Animal Suite.  Who wouldn’t like it with a name like that??

The balloons and banner cutout is from the new Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies. It also has the individual balloons with the dots and stripes. This is great because this also coordinates with the Balloon Bouquet Punch in the Annual Catalog. I used the punch to get the white behind the balloons to make the design stand out more from the Emerald Envy. The “Congratulations” actually came from the Balloon Celebration Stamp set also in the Annual catalog – but there are plenty more sentiments in the new Balloon Adventures set as part of the Suite! (I just don’t have it yet!)

Here is the inside of the card, where I used the same die as the front to create the pop-up look:

Here’s a better look from the top:

It folds right down the middle, but I only put adhesive on half of the middle balloon, so it would not fold – it makes it stick out more! The Happy-Happy came from the Number of Years stamp set. It fit perfectly – I stamped it twice.

To give it all a bit of sparkle, I added Wink of Stella on the balloons, both inside and on the front:

It’s definitely a one of a kind card, and I hope it inspires you to create something colorful!

The new Occasions catalog will be posted on January 4th, and if you don’t have one – but want one!!! Let me know and I will get one to you!
It’s double-y awesome because Sale-A-Bration starts the SAME day! I’ll have some details and samples of that coming up, too.

With all the excitement brewing over the new items, don’t forget about the current Holiday Catalog!!  There are still some fantastic sales going on, and some supplies are running out!  Here is a link right over to the Closeout Specials on my online store so you don’t miss out!

Happy Birthday 2-step stamping video

Hey folks!

So this video thing is pretty cool.. but it’s going to take a few tries to get all the wrinkles out, I can see that!  I took a crack at making a few more, but still need to edit some of them down a bit.. so stay tuned for even more.  The one I have for you today was another card from my past class.  It’s using one of the Sale-A-Bration sets, What I Love, as well as the sentiment from Rose Wonder, in the Occasions catalog.

* Don’t forget there are only a few more days left for you to earn FREE products during Sale-A-Bration. It ends on March 31st!   If you’ve got a wish list you need to tend to (please use the Hostess Code:  AWD2Q7MF), or if you want to join my team, this is the time to make that happen!
SAB is the best time – since you can earn even more when you join the fun before March 31 by joining my team. You can read more about that by clicking here: Join Mary Ann’s team!

Ok…. back to the video…  This is a 2-step stamp, although I think I only referred to ‘stamping off’ when I was explaining the technique.  This is a cute card I saw from Lisa Young online and thought it was perfect for a quick flowery birthday card. I used Island Indigo and Pear Pizzazz for the flower and leaves. I added some rhinestones for some sparkle.
The trick with this one was to not overthink it! Just stamp away.. again and again. That’s what makes this one cool, there’s no perfect lines! It’s supposed to be a bit messy. 🙂
Check out the video and let me know what you think.

As for the video itself.. yes… I know the table was shaking a bit.. I’m working on fixing that. 🙂  and, I love getting schooled on “youtube” with pointers from my kid. :/  not sure how I feel about that one yet. Apparently he watches more videos than I do, and took it upon himself to go look up my video and watch it so he could critique it. HA! what a nice kiddo.

My First Video – A Flowering Fields Birthday Card

Hi folks!

That’s right – I made it to the next milestone…. VIDEOS!!!
With a little help from my hubby to set up the camera stand (to cut some pvc pipe), and some extra inspiration from watching my upline (Linda Bauwin – who just hit her million dollars in personal sales!! YAY Linda!), I decided it was time to get into the video making world, as I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.

Although, just because I’ve been meaning to do this for a long time, it doesn’t mean that the first one out of the gate is perfect! HAA! I know it’s not. But, it’s a start.. and you always have to start somewhere!

For this one, I just picked one of the cute cards from a recent class, and explained how to make it.. I tried to keep it upbeat, casual, and even threw in a few side comments here and there as text that I didn’t actually say.
I would LOVE to hear back from you on a few items…
How did you like it?  What could be improved? And, of course, what would you like to see next? 🙂

As I mentioned, I’m still working out the kinks… I would like to get them a little shorter (and I realized upload times are longer than I was expecting!), and I’ll need to stabilize the camera a little more so it doesn’t wiggle as much!

Just a few quick notes on some other items….
Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st.. If you are going to place an online order, please use the Hostess Code:  AWD2Q7MF  through March 30th.
– If you would like to join my team, During SAB is a great time because you get an additional $30 in product! – Just ask how!
– I’ve scheduled the next class date – Saturday, April 9th.. So look for more info on that soon and save that date.

Alrighty – on the the video –

Can you believe it? LOL… Don’t forget to leave me some feedback, I’m looking forward to it!
