Painted Harvest Christmas Wreath

Hi folks!  I’ll be posting some quick shares over the next month, so you can see some of the wonderful swap cards I received at OnStage!  If you don’t know what OnStage is, it’s a WONDERFUL even that Stampin’ Up! holds every 6 months where all the Demonstrators can get together and celebrate!  I’ll be sharing more pictures of that, too! If you want to join me at these events, all you need to do is join my team – contact me and we can talk!!

So, to get us started, here is the card I made for a super nice group of ladies – at a team breakfast while at OnStage. It was so nice to meet so many new people! We were asked to make a card using a bundle. I selected the Painted Harvest stamp set with the coordinating Leaf Punch! At first you wouldn’t think of winter with it, but didn’t this turn out cool??

www.stampinmak.com

Who knew? I used the Leaf Punch and snipped off the leaves to make lights. Whoa, right?!?  LOL  I even sponged a bit of each color under each bulb to make it look like the lights were on… in person I swear it looks cool – and sparklie!!
I love that this bundle can be used for so much more than what you originally see in the catalog!

Convention Update – Part 2

I have some more pictures for you today… some of people, and some of beautiful flowers. The advantage of being in Salt Lake City is being able to walk around Temple Square, which is absolutely the most well landscaped area I’ve seen in a long time!  Here are some of the flowers and walkways I got to wander through:

There are flowers everywhere! It’s so pretty. I would love to have that in my yard!
The house in the middle and the buildings next to it are actually the Lion House and Beehive House. The Lion House had yummy comfort food where we stopped after we got back from our tour in the mountains. The Beehive house you can walk through with a short tour. Both were residences of Brigham Young. Very neat buildings!

On to more people….  and lookie, I remembered to number them this time.

1. Sharon and I with the dancers at the Roaring 20’s party!
2. Silver Lake selfie
3 & 7. Dinner at Red Rock Brewing
4 & 5. Some of the nifty old cars at the party
6. I saw Dawn and her hubby at breakfast a few times, so I had to make sure to get a pic at some point!
8. Sharon, me, Linda (my wonderful upline!) and hubby Jay
9. Pam from the Paper Craft Crew
10. Lydia from UnderstandBlue
11. Mormon Tabernacle Choir – you can go in and take a look
12. Chocolate stop on the mountain tour!
13. Lovely props for photo ops! Judy and Sharon helping me out there.
14. The whole gang out at dinner!

Sooo much fun all around!!!

Now I guess I’ll have to go back and edit the previous post so I can add info to those, too! 🙂
Have a good day!

Convention People Pics – Part 1

WOW did I do a good job of making sure to get PEOPLE PICTURES!!!!  I’m so proud of myself. 🙂   But first…. the ‘in progress’ pics of that swap card I showed you with the wonderful butterfly images (click here to see that one)…

EESH! I know, right? what was I thinking… But, it turned out beautifully. I have to admit, I had help, too.  I put the family to work… (they volunteered!!) well, except for the other kitty. He just wanted to make sure I knew he was there.

There are a lot of elements on this one, featuring the various butterflies of the Bitty Butterfly punch, the Bold Butterfly framelits, the Butterflies thinlits, and Watercolor Wings stamp set… The butterfly colors are Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Marina Mist. The little ones are sponged and glittered. YAY for the Dazzling Details glitter glue. Can you image that much loose Dazzling Diamonds?? The main butterfly also has some bonus bling… Rhinestones and the new Silver Metallic Thread. So shiny.

It’s also got the fabulous Brick Wall embossing folder. I sponged multiple colors on it to give it depth and make it look more realistic.  The cardstock is Smokey Slate and I used Smokey Slate and Mint Macaron inks.

To finish it off I used the Greetings thinlits twice.  I hope you like it, and even after 50 of these, I think I still like it, too. 🙂

On to convention people pics!!! The easiest way to share so many turns out to be in collage format! Yay for technologies.  Here’s the first group of folks… I’ve got a bit of everyone in this one… Upline, sidelines, Stampin’ up folks, friends.. All of them!!

How fun is that?? This isn’t even all of the pictures…. Now the trick is to get all their names on here! LOL… That may take a little more time. 🙂  Maybe I’ll just tag them all from Facebook!!

While I figure out the easiest way to do that… here is another pic from our little sightseeing adventure….

Didn’t I say it was gorgeous? yep. so neat. Our guide George was kind enough to send this to me.
Stay tuned this week for more!!
Enjoy!!
