Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Christmas

Welcome to this month’s “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”

Happy December folks!  It’s the first of the month, and time for another Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all across the U.S. and Canada. Most of us haven’t met in person, but love Stampin’ Up and want to share with you! Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!  Each month we’ll have a different theme! This month it’s anything Christmas, Hannukah, or New Year’s!

I had such a hard time trying to figure out how to narrow it down to just one or two items, so I’ve decided to share a bunch of Christmas cards! These are just some of the many wonderful projects created at the Stamp Camp I went to a few weeks ago, held by my wonderful upline Linda Bauwin!

These first two both use the eclipse technique. Using the large letters framelits, you just pop them up on some foam strips, and it gives it a shadow.

This has the Night in Bethlehem bundle – using both the thinlit die for the city, and then the stamps for the people.  I like how this turned out with the letters popped up!

This next one uses the leaves in Musical Season to show off the letters.

It also has some of the die cut images from Pretty Pines Thinlits, using some of the fabulous Champagne foil sheets.

Speaking of the Musical Season set, here is a wonderful card using that bundle.

The monochromatic look is so pretty with the music and instruments. It works great with the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Foil Snowflakes… Such a shiny card!

This last one I have to share with you is also on the shiny side of the spectrum!

Yay for shiny foil sheets and glimmer paper! This time the DSP is the Year of Cheer – which mixes all 4 metal colors throughout it’s designs.
The little deer and the trees are from the Card Front Builder Thinlits, and the lovely Merry Christmas is from the Star of Light stamp set.

I love this group of cards, and this shows you they don’t have to have so much of the typical red & green to be festive! If you haven’t finished up your holiday cards, maybe this will inspire you. 🙂

I can’t wait to see the rest of the ideas from everyone else in today’s hop, you should check them out, too! Don’t forget to leave a note when you stop by.

After you’re done ooohing and aaaahing over the hop, hop on over to my online store to check out the Year-End SALE that Stampin’ Up! has going on. You can purchase some of the items used in these cards before they retire for good, and even get some at discounted prices!

One last item – if you are in the area this Saturday, come visit me at the Silver Bells Boutique at the Kenston High School. It’s my last craft fair of the Christmas season!

Happy stamping!
Mak

  3. These are all so beautiful, Mary Ann! I have been seeing lots of ideas for the eclipse technique, but have not yet tried it myself. It seems simple enough, but adds an interesting design. Happy December! Crystal
