Global Stamping Friends – Exciting Times

Hi everyone!

It’s time for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, and it really is global!! This month we have an extra special mid-month edition to share from folks all around the world joining this, so please take a look at all the fun stuff people have to share. This month it’s an Exciting Time as we have a NEW Catalog right around the corner! So, we will be showing some previews of items in the New Catalog!!

Every year there are 5 brand new In Colors from Stampin’ Up! I’ve decided to highlight ALL 5 of them in my card today. I used some sponging, and went to town on some Whisper White card stock. Check out the background:

The 5 new In Colors are Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel. You can see how they fit into the new color Revamp by clicking here.

The brand new stamp set I used is called Enjoy Life, and it’s inspired by one of the Million Sales Achievers, Connie Fitzgerald. It’s such a great set, and I loved the borderline snarkiness of the sentiment I used for this. I used the two coordinating Scallop Circle punches for that. Behind the sentiment is some of the new Black Cording that I unraveled.
For some added sparkle, I added some rhinestones that I colored with the coordinating new Blends markers – Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch. I also used Pumpkin Pie to match the Grapefruit Grove color sky.

I think this is such a fun, bright and wonderful card that anyone would love!

I can’t wait to share more of the new catalog with you, so keep coming back. 🙂

Now, I hope you have fun hopping around the rest of today’s blog hop!

Color Revamp and Retiring Products

Well it took a bit longer than planned, but I have a bunch of information for you on a brand new “NEW” page now!

Check up at the top menu, there is a *NEW* menu option. I have two pages under there, one for the Retiring Products, and one for the Color Revamp.

If you haven’t had a chance to learn about the Color Revamp yet – WOW, you are going to love it! Even though that means there are some fun colors going away, there are even more that are new or coming back! You will want to check out the brand new Core colors, as well as this year’s new In Colors.

Here is a quick view of the new Color Families:

How exciting!!  You can check out more details on the Color Revamp page.
** Don’t forget to order any products you need in the retiring colors ASAP, as many items are “while supplies last” and won’t make it through to the new catalog date!

Click HERE to head over to the Retiring Products information. If you need help ordering, just let me know!

This week I will have some samples we made at the recent OnStage Event held by Stampin’ Up! It was a blast, and we got to see the new colors, the new catalog, and even got to pre-order some new products before anyone else! These are just some of the fun benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. 🙂
If you want to join my team, just contact me! I would love to hear from you!
Happy Stamping!

New Catalog Open House

Hi folks!!
This is my second post for today, and I hope you had a chance to look at this month’s Blog Hop!  If not, go take a look then come back here. I’ll wait….  🙂

Ok.. Now that you are back…  OMG have you seen the new products?!?

I’m pretty excited about this year’s new Annual Catalog – and if you don’t have one, LET ME KNOW! Everyone should have one of these. There are some seriously cute products this year. Between the new In-Colors that I am liking more each time I see them… and lots of new stamps that have new coordinating punches or framelits, and Copper embossing powder… I’m not sure what my favorite is yet!

In order for you to get a chance to see some of these items for yourself, and get your hands on the new Catalog, and even make a sample for you to take home, I am holding a New Catalog Open House!

It’s on Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 pm at my house. All I ask is that you RSVP by  June 9th so I can have enough supplies ready.
I will be doing a raffle that afternoon for anyone placing orders, and if you bring a friend new to my stamping, I will give you an extra entry 🙂

Here is a look at one of the bookmarks I made for the catalog…

I will be making up some more to accompany the catalog when you come to the open house. So, I hope to hear from everyone soon!!
Thanks!

For Your Country – PPA252

It’s the middle of a long weekend here, and hopefully you have weather as nice as we do!  It was perfect for the Memorial Day parade and ceremonies we hold here locally. That’s actually what inspired me for today’s card. The reason for the weekend. Unfortunately, not everyone in the service is still around, and this is a special time to remember and honor them.

So, I took the sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts: PPA252 and made a card with that in mind.  Here’s the sketch:

ppa252

Here is my interpretation for this weekend:

It’s using a set with military images, For Your Country. I used Night of Navy ink, and embossed the center image and the sentiment (on vellum) with clear embossing powder. The background uses the Hardwood stamp, stamped in Versamark and embossed clear. Cherry Cobbler surrounds the images. The neutral color is one of the new In-Colors, Tip Top Taupe – perfect to pair with many other colors.

I hope you like the card, and have a safe weekend!
