Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Christmas

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all across the U.S. and Canada. Most of us haven’t met in person, but love Stampin’ Up and want to share with you! Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!  Each month we’ll have a different theme! This month it’s Christmas or Hanukkah!

I have two Christmas cards for you today, both showcasing some spectacular papers available in our Holiday Catalog.

The first is a whimsical design using the Dashing Deer Bundle.

The fun leaping deer is one of the four deer shaped thinlits. I used a sponge dauber and covered it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to give it some sparkle. The lovely plaid paper is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper pack. The stitched circle is on vellum so you can still see the DSP through it. Lining the DSP and the sentiment are two new colors of glimmer paper in the Joyous Noel 6″x6″ Glimmer Paper stack – Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide. It just makes the whole card sparkle and shine. Topping it off are some of the Clear Epoxy Droplets.
I love how this turned out and it is such an easy layout to use!

The next card is also a simple to use layout – featuring one of the wonderful and shiny DSP designs. I used the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP which has fabulous shiny foil accents for the background.

I layered some Copper Foil paper, vellum, and a circle of the Joyous Noel DSP with the coordinating Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon. This is all under one of the great banner framelits from the Farmhouse Christmas Bundle. The copper embossed sentiment fits perfectly in the framelit.

I hope you enjoyed these two cards and they inspire you to make something sparklie for the season.

Reminder: If you are looking to make some Christmas cards for the season, I still have one more class lined up in my Christmas Card Class Series – scheduled for Saturday, Nov 17th. Be sure to RSVP so I can make sure I have room for you!

Enjoy the rest of today’s hop, and don’t forget to leave a comment to let us know what you think!
