Hi everyone!
It’s time for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, and it really is global!! This hops around every month on the first Friday. There are folks all around the world joining this, so please take a look at all the fun stuff people have to share. Each month is a different theme, and this month it’s a Design Sketch Challenge:
I liked how clean this was, and went through a few scenarios of what I would use. I decided to mix some outgoing products, returning products, and some new ones! Here’s what I came up with:
First, I want to point out that not all cards need a sentiment! This allows for the sender to write whatever they like on the inside! It can be a “just because I like the pretty design” kind of card!
I used the new Painted Glass stamp set for the lovely circle design. The inside has the same image stamped a few times, but stamped in Smokey Slate after stamping off on scrap paper first to make it even lighter.
I took this opportunity to use some of the new Blends Markers I received at Stampin’ Up’s OnStage event a few weeks ago. I used the new Pineapple Punch and Lovely Lipstick, then added in few additional colors I already had.
The background paper is from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack – which is carrying over to the new catalog! YAY!
The decorative black design across the card comes from the Stained Glass Thinlits, the coordinating set to go with the stamp set. This will also be available as a bundle so you can save 10% when you purchase it as the bundle. 🙂
The cute little circle embellishments are the Glitter Enamel Dots, and those will be retiring soon, so get them now if you don’t have them!
I couldn’t resist adding a bit of Wink of Stella to make it sparkle:
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. I think I will need to make a few more of these to use up the rest of my Glitter Enamel Dots since they went so well with this design.
Please take some time to continue on with the rest of the hop, you will be heading over to Sarah’s blog next, and don’t forget to leave some nice comments to let us know what you think!
Happy Stamping!

Beautiful card design. I love the way you used the distressed wood designer series paper as your background and the way you colored the image to pop against the background. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
