Butterflies – FM189 Friday Mashup

It’s almost the weekend, and I’m getting ready for the Silver Bells Boutique tomorrow, but wanted to post this quick sample using another NEW set!
This was awesome because it’s a bundle!!  The “Butterfly Basics” stamp set AND the “Butterflies” Thinlits Dies are both in the new Occasions Catalog, and are a perfect addition to all my butterfly schtuff!

Here is the challenge I used for this sample: FM189 Friday Mashup – Hello, Mr. Grey! – and I decided to use the first option: Create a project using “Basic Grey or Smoky Slate & Silver”… so I used all three colors!

Here is the quick card I came up with:

For this, I used several colors, and kept the paper layering to a minimum.  Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Smokey Slate and Pink Pirouette all got stamped off first, to make it even more subtle. Then the Basic Gray Sentiment got stamped full strength. (The line on the left is Smokey Slate at full strength, too.)
The butterfly thinlit was used twice, once on Smokey Slate, then another on the Silver Foil Sheet. This stuff is amazing. It’s so shiny, and a lot thicker than real foil! It’s cardstock-like thickness in case you are wondering – so it’s very easy to work with.

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend coming up and come visit me at the Silver Bells Boutique craft fair tomorrow!!
